George Strath 42 1/2" Long Spoon. The finish, shaft, and grip are original.  There is a 2" section of whipping on the shaft most likely to assist in repairing a slight crack in the shaft.  The shaft under the whipping appears to be solid.  There is no movement in the shaft when reasonable pressure is applied in various directions. The leather insert in the face is a beautifully crafted repair by a clubmaker when the club was in use.  Clubs by any of the Strath brothers--George, Andrew, or David--are highly desirable and seldom seen.

This is the very club pictured in The Clubmakers Art, Vol 1 page 98, and comes with a signed page from the book.
