The early 1900s lead crystal inkwell measures 2 1/2" square and 2 1/4" tall, not counting the rim which extends above the flat top of the crystal.  It is quite heavy, as lead crystal is, weighing approximately one pound.  The base is approximately 5 1/2" square and uses feet designed as mesh gutty balls. 

It should be noted that the golf club held by the golfer on RH side of the vase when viewing the inkwell straight on was not accidentally bent. Not made to replicate the club at the finish of a normal golf swing, this club was made to create the mirror image of the golf club held by the golfer on the LH side. Consequently both clubs extend away from the inkwell and mirror the two larger clubs behind the ink well, providing a pleasing, balanced look. Furthermore, if the RH golfer's club was positioned like a normal finish, the inkwell could not be removed from the stand.

The one flaw on this piece is the hinge on the lid on the top of the inkwell mount is broken. This is a minor drawback as the lid still sits in place, seating properly onto the shoulder of the mount's rim, so it display's as good as new.
