"The Laws and Acts of Parliment Made By King James and His Successors, Kings and Queens of Scotland, In Two Parts."   Published in 1682, this book contains a reprint of the first printed reference to golf, where "Golfe" was forbidden in favor of archery in the 1457 Black Acts of Scotland edict by King James I.  On its own, this 338-year-old book contains one of the earliest mentions of golf in print, and is about as close to the first printed reference to golf that a collector can collect.

The binding is tight. Top front of the cover is loose. Leather bound with edge wear. Very Good (considering vintage). Dripping with History.
