Dated May 14, 1910, this brief letter documents Vardon's kindness in helping a friend.  It was written by Vardon on his personal stationary, which included images of his first 4 British Open Championship gold medals and his 1900 US Open gold medal.  Vardon, the best player in the world for a good portion of his life, went on to win another two Open Championships, a record that still stands today. The Vardon Trophy, named after Harry Vardon and awarded each year to the player with the lowest scoring average on the PGA Tour, was instituted in 1937, the year Vardon died.

The entire letter, written by Vardon's hand with a strong signature, is beautifully mounted in a 14 1/2" tall x 15 1/2" wide frame.

This wonderful item is consigned by a life-long member of the golf press who assembled a fabulous collection of signed golf artifacts during his career. This item is guaranteed authentic.
