Among the most popular golf collectibles is the giant niblick. Even
non-golfers view it in amazement as its size is so eye-catching. Giant
niblicks were produced primarily during the 1920s. This example was
made by Cochrane, and has Cochrane's Bowline knot cleekmark on the back
of the head which is also stamped "Mammoth Niblick, Made in Scotland,
Warranted Hand Forged, Fort Mason Picadilly London". The face depth
measures a full 3 5/8 inches in depth. The shaft is original and the replacement leather grip looks just like an old sheepskin. A great club! With a lovely "rounded" head. Note: The golf ball used in an image to give perspecitive is not part of this lot.
