In the mid 1960’s, legendary singer Frank Sinatra appeared in magazine ads for the First Flight Golf Company which boasted that the singer had recently began using their golf clubs. According to the ad, during a pro-am PGA pro Bo Wininger fit Ol’ Blue Eyes with a new set of First Flight irons with very positive results.

Offered here is a custom made First Flight “Monster” sand wedge with the back of the blade stamped “Frank Sinatra”. Overall condition is excellent, although the grip is a modern replacement. While no clubs stamped with Sinatra’s name were ever commercially sold or distributed, there have been two recent auction appearances of partial sets of similar clubs that have been directly attributed to the entertainer. This spring, a set of First Flight Sinatra clubs sold for over $7k, and in December of 2018, Sotheby’s sold a partial set for $27,500!
