Made by Elmer Holland, these two putters sport thick alignment inlays on the top of thin mallet heads.  The black inlay appears to be fiber and is stamped "Elmer Holland." Above and below the inlay is marked "BalanceLine" and "Putter." The aluminum putter with the white inlay, which appears to be ivory, is unmarked. Both clubs have their original shaft and grip.

These two putters were once part of the Fred X Fry collection and the shafts bear his inventory ID labels. Fry's inventory pages record that these putters were modeled after the Ray de haven putter offered in the prior lot.  Fry also wrote that Holland, a pro in the Bay area, made these clubs to order but was "not too successful" with his custom made putter business. How fortunate that a matching pair has survived!
