Okay, I made up the "Knarly" name for this club. I know I'm too old to use that word, but does it ever describe this Putter!  From the Fred X Fry collection and bearing his inventory label on its shaft, this putter is so rad -oops! there I go again... I know... I'm too old to use "rad" as well, but my goodness, this club is so totally Rad!

A great deal of work and craftsmanship went in to this pytratone-coated steel-shafted putter.  From the radical shape of the head, to the bevels, to the soleplate, to the faceplate, to the inlaid line on the crown, and to the brass cap atop the hosel. It's a good bet that neither you nor I will ever see another one of these. Dude! Buy it!

This visionary putter is just one of the clubs he collected by Fred X.Fry, the dean of American golf club collectors. Fry was busy building his collection forty years before the Golf Collectors Society (now The Golf Heritage Society) was formed in 1970. Collecting with great passion, Fry amassed around 450 clubs, mostly putters. He cataloged, displayed, and cherished his treasures.  A number of national magazines ran articles about his collection of putters between 1936 and 1963.
