Born in St. Andrews, John "Jack" Morris was the son of George Morris, Old Tom's older brother.  In 1869, when Royal Liverpool Golf Club (Hoylake) was formed, Jack was hired as their first professional. He remained at his post until 1929, when he retired from Hoylake.

This Jack Morris driver is true bulger--the face slightly protrudes. Looking at the face from heel to toe reveals the slight convex shape. The head also contains a lead backweight and horn insert.

Original shaft measures 41 3/4". The original sheepskin grip remains in great shape, as does the entire club.
