Produced by William Mills of Sunderland, England, this early 1900s BS2 Model aluminum metalwood has a long-nose-style clubhead that measures 4 1/2" in length and 1 1/16" in face depth.  In the Mills catalog for 1909, the BS line of metalwoods had long heads and shallow faces while the BSD line has long heads and deep faces.  The catalogs compared the clubs in both lines to the old school long, mid, short, and baffy spoons. However, the Mill's clubs were designed to take the place of irons. Hence the model 2 offered here, which the catalog describes as a mid-spoon, is only 37 1/2" in length. It has its original sheepskin grip.

While aluminum is a soft metal, this aluminum head is relatively clean when compared to many of the remaining Mills clubs.
