"Marked "Professional Golers' Assn. of America" on the inside, this small leather wallet (3" x 4" when closed) contains the 1922 membership card of Fred Ryall. Ryall was the pro at Bridgton Highland CC in Bridgton, Maine.
The PGA was orgainized in 1916. Mr. Ryall was a first year member, so this is his 7th year membership card. "George Sargent," named on the card as the President of the PGA in 1922, was the 1909 US Open Champion.
This wonderful piece of early PGA history is in nice original condition.
Also included in this lot is a PGA Member pocket crest designed to fit in and over the breast pocket of a jacket or suit coat.
