What a set! Nine of these 11 balls are still in their original wrappers. The two that are unwrapped show a pristine lattice pattern with "Fly A Way" stamped on the side. There are also a few squares of color on each one (one ball contains red, the other yellow).
The box lid is in terrific shape, and while the walls of the box bottom are in tact, there are two cracks/tears in the bottom, as shown in the images.
Not much is known about the Gotham Golf Ball Manufacturing Company, the name of the maker on the side of the box, but it was located in lower Manhattan--only several blocks away from where the World Trade Centers would eventually be built.
