Offered in 1912, the Spalding Domino Dimple ball has some significant history. According to a 1997 Spalding Ad, "In 1909 Spalding was granted a license to produced dimpled golf balls in the US. The original Spalding Domino Dimple ball was actually available in larger and smaller sizes, as well as lighter and heavier weights, to match golfer's styles and weather conditions."  To this end the front of the box advertises the balls in this box as "Heavy Weight NO. 6. Will Not Float."

The front of the box notes that the dimple marking patent that covered these balls was issued in February of 1908.

The balls in the box are unused, and 9 of them are still in their original wrappers. The box itself is fragile as one end on the inner sleeve holding the balls is broken along two edges.  The sleeve slides in and out of the exterior portion of the box, which is open on both ends.
