This ticket/badge from the 1934 Western Golf Association Open Championship held June 15-17 at the Peoria Country Club remains in mint condition. In 1934, the Western Open was almost as prestigious as the US and British Opens. Like the US Open, the Western Open was open to both the top pros and amateurs in the game, it was a giant event in US Golf.  Each year it drew outstanding fields.

In 2007, this event was renamed the "BMW Championship" and, at the time of its transition, was the third-oldest active PGA tournament (and even predates the Tour itself). The Peoria Country Club is located in Illinois, and is one of the oldest golf courses in the area.
