This striking gold-plate over bronze medallion is thick and heavy.  It measures in at a full 3 inches in diameter--making it easier to read the names of the esteemed "Players of the Decade" that are printed on the back. This dated list consists of both famous male and female golf legends: C.B. MacDonald, Willie Anderson, Francis Ouimet, Walter Hagen, Bobby Jones, Byron Nelson, Patty Berg, Ben Hogan, Babe Zaharias, Arnold Palmer, Mickey Wright, Jack Nicklaus, Kathy Whitworth, Tom Watson, and Nancy Lopez.

The medal was crafted in 1988 in commemoration of 100 years of golf in America. The edges have a very fine "ribbed" texture and, made the Metallic Arts Company, is stamped "MACO 6/P." Included is a beautiful 6"x6" mahogany display box with spring-loaded brass closure. The velvet lining inside also has a pull ribbon for ease of getting the medallion in and out. Truly an exceptional, beautifully made piece.
