Produced by the Columbus Brass Company in Columbus, Ohio, and advertised briefly in 1906, The Arlington Putter was guaranteed not to catch on the ground during the stroke.  The Ad read in part, “Golfer’s who are in a habit of chopping their putts should give the Arlington a try.” Not many did.

This particular putter was apparently well-liked by its owner. Because the brass head is hollow and this club was used a lot, there are a few dents on the very bottom of the cylinder.  The brass cap on the end of the head is a replacement piece that is beautifully made and perfectly fit.  The work is done so well that most people would never know it is a replacement piece without being told.

The head was either reshafted or simply repined, as evidenced by the brass pin that extends out both sides of the hosel. The head remains a little loose. The shaft is solid, but has a small amount of whipping either to assist in repairing a crack or to help firm up any flex in the shaft. The grip is the typical smooth leather wrap.
