Produced briefly in 1933, Faroids have long ranked among the most desirable golf balls in existence. Their concentric ring cover is recognizable from over 10 feet away. They were designed to be struck a certain way in order to maximize the flight characteristics provided by their raised concentric ridges, hopefully to reduce hooks and slices. The pole of each ball is even marked "This End Up" to remind the golfer.

Of course the obvious problem with the ball, even if it performed as hoped, was the golfer was not allowed to touch their ball through the green. Consequently he or she was guaranteed only 18 (tee) shots with the end of the ball positioned properly at impact....

There is some crazing to the original paint, but that is typical for a Faroid—even those that were never used.  In real life, however, the crazing is hardly noticeable.  Remember the ball as shown is much larger than it is in real life. The Faroid offered here is in outstanding original condition. If it was used, it was only for a few shots.
