This c. 1910 Metal Dunlop Golf Ball box is the neatest golf ball box of all! It has two drawers which cantilever open and was made to hold 4 dozen golf balls.  The top drawer hinges up and back to reveal the bottom drawer. This tin alone is a fantastic piece!  10 1/2 inches wide by 5 1/4 inches tall by 7 1/2 inches deep.

Inside this tin are 26 wooden napkin rings.  Each ring is marked on each of its four sides with at least one clubmakers stamp (some of the sides are stamped with two names). There are a some duplicate stamps on these napkin rings, but the large diversity of names is fantastic!  In addition, some of the stamps are of the same clubmaker but slightly different.  For example, I quickly found three "Tom Morris St. Andrews" stamps, and two stamps use the same script only one was slightly smaller, and the third stamp used block letters.

It should be noted that the original clubmakers stamps of these famous clubmakers were used to mark these napkin rings.  And there are many famous names, from Tom Morris, Rob't T Jones, J.H. Taylor, Peter McEwan, Harry Vardon, Robert Forgan, Alex Herd, George Nicoll, Henry Cotton, Willie Park, Robert Simpson, Donald Ross to Ben Hogan, Arnold Palmer and Gary Player.  The images will show most of the stamps.

This is a coooool lot!
