The exterior of the 16mm film cannister, which measures 7 inches in diameter, has "Pinehurst Golf" typed in the center.  The cannister also says the film could be rented for 1.00 per day with .50 overstamped on the 1.00 price.  The side of the cannister has an old label that says Walter Hagen 1932. I have just viewed the film, however, and Walter Hagen is not on it.  The film does include shots of Byron Nelson, Ed Dudley, Vic Ghezzi, Johnny Revolta, George Dunlap, and Horton Smith. It shows event footage with galleries watching the golfers. Mixed in is instructional footage as in how to grip the club. Furthermore, the film is at least as late as 1938 as one of the lady golfers in the film was not born until 1920.  Having said all of that...this is a cool film!

The film is on a "Kodascope Reel" and was made by the Eastman Kodak company of Rochester NY. It Would be simple to transfer to DVD, as even Costco offers that service for a small price.

This film Definitely provides a chance to go back in time and see golf as played by a few of the greats on one of the greatest course 80 or so years ago.
