This molded gutta percha ball has a mesh pattern made with lines that are just a little deeper and wider than normal. I suspect that this ball was produced in one of the first "pattern" molds, engraved on the inside to imprint lines into the ball. The lines of the pattern and the pattern itself are not as refined as what is found on a typical 1890s gutty ball.
The ball itself shows light use, with a couple of light strike marks, and looks great!
