The auctioneer professes to know nothing more about this unmarked ball than what is obvious.  It is a rubber core ball, with no strike marks and four "poles" around the equator.  The rings that run around the ball in two directions all run at a significant angle, creating diamonds, not squares. The only ring that runs straight around the ball is the single ring that runs directly through the middle of each of the four poles around the equator. And the four poles themselves are not equidistant from one another, hence they are not bordered on each side with an equal amount of rings.  It's best to just look at the pictures to get an idea of the crazy pattern!
