Made by Waltrous Mfg Corp in the early 1900s, each golf club tea infuser is marked "Pat Apld For, International Stereling 32" and the base of the stand is marked "International Sterling 33".

The heads of the two clubs open up (the hinges atop the head are in perfect working condition) wherein tea leaves are placed. Once the leaves were inside, the user would push the lids down until the small recessed lip on the underside of the front of the lid caught on the top of the end of the toe.  This would seal the lid so the clubhead could be immersed in hot water.  The holes in the head would allow the tea flavor to permeate the water.  A fabulous set.
