According to Kevin McGimpsey's book, The Story of the Golf Ball, the St. Mungo Remade Colonel was made in 1900 from solid gutta percha. Well over a century ago, remade golf balls were a part of the game. Old used gutty balls would be reclaimed and then remolded into new gutty balls. After all, gutta percha golf balls were made from molded gutta percha in the first place. This balls shows little to no use and still has 98%+/- of its original paint. A terrific ball!
