Karsten Solheim began making PING putters in his garage in Redwood City, California.  The Redwood City Ping 1A here has a sight line atop both the right- and left-hand face. Karsten did make a few 1A's with guide lines at the request of customers, but it is unlikely that the sightlines on this club were made by Karsten, although they are as mint as the rest of the club.

This club is in exceptional condition.  The original "PING Putter, Torsion Sole $17.50" shaft band, the earliest shaft band ever used on a ping club, is in perfect condition. So, too, is the white Line-Rite grip.  The patina on the head is rich and unmarred.
