In early 1967, Karsten Solheim entered into an agreement with Mark McCormick, the agent for Jack Nicklaus and Gary Player, that allowed Gary Player Golf Enterprises to sell Ping putters bearing the endorsement of Player.    ATPWP  p 93-94

This Karsten Co., Gary Player Ping Anser has the famed Scottsdale Anser head which has been a favorite with a number of Tour pros across the years.  In 2016 while playing in a web.com Tour event, Stephan Jaeger used a Karsten Co. Anser to shoot a 12-under 58.  Jaeger was the first player on the PGA or Web.com Tour to score such a crazy number.

This putter shows little to no use.  The head bears a strong, dark patina. Even the shaft band shows no wear.  The Informer grip is original. Karsten Co. Ansers were the first Ansers marked with a Phoenix address.
