A set of 3 Burke 50-50 rubber core mesh/lattice patterned balls. Two are still in original wrappers. A Burke 50-50 ball advertisement was found in "The Literary Digest" (May 1929) and brags it up as a "score-reducing reducing ball" that "absorbs punishment like a sponge absorbs water." They even offered a guarantee of replacement if the ball didn't stay intact for 50 holes of play.  It was advertised as the ball that "has everything--long sustained flight and direction through the fairway, and line-hugging trueness on the green."

Manufactured by The Burke Golf Company out of Newark, Ohio.

These balls were never used. The unwrapped ball is the fourth ball in the fourth row of the group image.
