The Rexor offered here was one of four nearly identical irons patented by David Myles of Dundee, Scotland.  These irons were designed to function as woods.   He received three different British patents for this concept, dating from 1905-1918.

Myles 1905 patent states: "I make the head of the driving clubs of metal instead of wood . . . and of a shape somewhat similar to such wooden clubs, but of smaller bulk, that is to say the length of the club is shortened very considerably, the dept of face kept the same whle the weight is approximately the same as the weight of a wooden clubs used by the same player and for the same purpose."

Accordingly, the outline of the face on this iron is shaped like the face of a wood, and it also maintains the same approximate face area. To give his iron head the same approximate weight as a wooden club, Mules concentrated "as much metal as possible behind the striking center" of the face.

This iron was produced under Myles 1905 and 1906 patent. The iron/weight built out on the back of the head is set at an angle, which was the improved design he sought to include on the design covered under his 1905 patent.

Original 38" shaft has its original grip.
