The 10 tees in the top row are either fixed height or adjustable height tees. Fixed height tees allowed the golfer to tee up their ball at the exact same height. Adjustable height tees did the same, only they allowed the golfer to pick the height that they wanted to tee up the ball.

3 of the 7 tees in the middle row are hinged and 3 have a ball/socket design.  Such tees were promoted as able to reduce the drag given to the ball as opposed to striking a ball off a tee that does not hinge.  Of course, on tees with actual hinges, the tee would need to be oriented in the exact direction of the desired ball flight for it provide its "full benefit."  The ball socket tees removed the need for orienting the tee.

Lastly, 2 of the tees in the middle row and the set of 3 tees in the bottom row have double stems.  The idea here is if one stem is good then two is better!  Okay...there is more to it than that. Double stemmed tees also worked as ball-mark repair tools.

Overall, this is a pretty amazing array of 20 tees.  They are mostly mid & late 20th century, but so very hard to find. They are colorful, wonderfully creative, and best of all the original collector has done the leg work in gathering them all together!

The "custom" green felt on styrafoam tee display stand is not included.
