Released in 1920, this Wonder Ball was produced by the Worthington Ball Co. of Elyria, Ohio. This beautiful diamond pattern ball shows little use, with just a few hairline paint chips and cracks noticeable upon magnification if you were to zoom in on the picture.  An unusual and visual cover pattern!

A reproduction Wonder Ball was released in 1999 by Worthington as one of a dozen different balls reproduced in Worthington's "The Anthology of Golf 1899-1990."  I have included an image of the reproduction ball. Compared to the original ball, the reproduction ball is marked/colored entirely different and it's paint has none of the age "yellowing" found on the original.

Tip:  When you zoom in on an image of a nice, even unused golf ball on this site, all kinds of paint chips and cracks can appear and it looks like the ball has been through a war zone. This is because the ball is being magnified exponentially beyond its original size.   When viewing the ball in your hand, however, those same chips and cracks appear quite insignificant, which they are, and are usually not even noticeable. The best indicator of what a ball will look like in real life is when you size the ball on your screen to the same size as an actual golf ball - usually 1.68 inches in diameter.
