Made by Tom Morris, this circa 1875 putter is a great golf club.  The finish is original, as are all of the other components of the club, including shaft and grip.  The original sheepskin grip on this club is exceptionally interesting.  It is oversize, with exceedingly thick underlisting visible at the butt of the shaft, and the grip still has its original whipping which covers much more of the base of the grip than is normally covered. The black finish at the top and bottom of the grip is also original.  Morris saw to it that even the grip on this club received a lot of attention.

Tom Morris is well known as the Grand Old Man of Golf. When he died in 1908, he was a living legend. Today, his legacy continues unabated.  This club is a fine example made by a famous master of his craft.  Better yet, this club took a 4-time British Open champion many hours to construct it.

This Tom Morris putter is second from the right in the group image.
