Jack White, a renown British professional during the early 20th century, devised this putter with holes in its face in an effort to lessen the distance imparted to the ball when struck squarely. White had a bit of success marketing his putter and dubbed it a "Holey Terror" in one 1914 account.

The back of this head is stamped "Jack White, Made in Scotland, Warranted Hand Forged" and bears William Gibson's star cleekmark, Gibson being the cleekmaker who forged the head.

This club has its original shaft and leather-wrapped grip.  The shaft is stamped "BH Dyas, Co, Los Angeles.  Dyas was the retail outlet that sold this club. The store often advertised itself as "The Most Interesting Store in California," which would explain Mr. Dyas going to such lengths as to import and offer this unusual putter.   Another highly creative club in nice original condition.
