This Ping Kushin putter, marked with a Scottsdale address in its back cavity, is in clean original condition. The Z bend shaft and Golf Pride Pro Only grip are original to the club. Made back in the 1960s by Karsten Solheim, the man who brought the game of golf heel- and toe-weighted clubs, this club is a historic classic!
As mentioned, the shaft has a "Z" bend near the head. Karsten devised three different Z bend shafts in January of 1968. The
different bends would provide his putters with differing amounts of toe
hang, to accommodate different stroke styles, from straight back and
thru to heavily arced. To learn more about the three different Z-bend
shafts, see ATPWP p 109-110.
