Sold by Slazenger & Son in London, this blade putter is marked "Best is Best" and Trade mark" and "S&S (Slazenger & Son) L (London)" inside a 6-pointed Star of David on the back of the blade. The extra thickness given to the back of the toe was done in an effort to counter the weight of the hosel. This design, however, only served to move the blade's sweet spot well towards the heel, and that made the putter exceptionally difficult to use effectively. This explains the great rarity of this club.
The shaft is original. The grip is a replacement crafted to approximate an old sueded sheepskin grip.
