Made by the Worthington Golf Ball Co. in 1923, this PGA ball has radiating panels of raised and recessed squares across six poles.  Worthington reproduced this ball in 1990, in its "Anthology of Golf" ball set.  The reproductions, however, look nothing like this ball. The repo's were made with the bright, shiny white paint in use in 1990.

Also differing from the reproduction balls, this ball is stamped in tiny red letters,"Vulcanized" on one pole and "Wilson" on another.  Not sure why Wilson was stamped on the ball as it was definitely a Worthington golf ball.  Maybe Wilson had something to do with the vulcanizing process or made it for Worthington to sell??

The paint still retains a nice luster as the ball shows only light use.

This ball is the center top ball in the group image that accompanies this lot.
