Produced in 1911 by JP Cochrane, this (star) Challenger Patent golf ball has stars
inside stars across the entire surface. The ball appears to have been used very little, if at all. On one side of the ball there is a tiny "nail" hole that extends just through the cover and no farther. Maybe this hole was created to mount the ball on a display years ago? This tiny hole could easily be filled in and touched up if desired, but there is really no need. This is a beautiful ball!
This ball is the center ball in the group image that accompanies this lot.
