This is a beautiful ball! And rare! Marked
“W&D Baby” on one pole and “Pat Ap 11-99” on the other, this Wright and Ditson ball
is found only in Leo Kelly’s 1993 “Golf Ball and Reference Guide.” Thank you to a client for pointing this out.
It was clearly made around 1900 or a few years thereafter, when various balls were produced under Haskell's April 11, 1899 patent and so marked. The surface is covered with a unique pattern of small circles, and the ball appears to be unused. Yeah Baby!
