The only marks on this putter is the name of the owner, "Harry Bowler," which is stamped on the sole. The club, however, is clearly a Spalding HB putter, first introduced in 1919. The hosel is oval in cross section, as is the bottom portion of the shaft. There is a shallow guideline cut into the top line of the blade. Shaft and grip appear to be original. the HB was the precursor to Macgregor's Tommy Armour flanged-blade putters.
