Made by the Great lakes Golf Company, this Tommy Armour Matched putter and Open Champion 4-iron are in outstanding condition. While Armour went on to design and endorse numerous clubs for the MacGregor Golf Company, the first clubs he endorsed were made by Great Lakes. This golf hall-of-famer won the 1927 US Open and the 1931 British Open, hence the 4-iron "Open Champion" model name. Armour also won the 1930 PGA and had 25 Tour titles to his credit.
The back of the 4-iron notes that this club is designed for "Distance 140-150" and "For Players 5 Ft to 5/6." The shaft and grip are original. The grip is a little loose in the middle. The putter's shaft and grip are also original.
