This hickory-shafted mashie features a line and dash pattern on its face, and is stamped with Harry Vardon's signature on the back.

Harry Vardon was "the most successful golfer to ever compete in the British Open Championship"--having won it six times. This particular "Totteridge" model club was made by Burke and sold in the 1920's. Vardon worked as the pro at Totteridge for many years. Vardon died in 1937 and was laid to rest at the St Andrews Church in Totteridge.

The head is made of Monel Metal and also features a thistle cleekmark on the back.
