This lot consists of a nice Ivora putter with its original "ivora" face, and a second example that appears to have had its original ivora face replaced with some other material. Crasford McGregpr & Canby produced the ivora putters. According to a 1915 advertisment, these putters gave a smooth roll to the ball and were "deadly". I am not sure if the original ivora material is ivory, but it does have a grain like ivory. Shafts and grips on these clubs appear to be original. The putter with the replaced insert has two screws in the back of the blade that are not there on the all original putter. Both putters have been buffed up a bit.
