When this fourth printing of "Down the Fairway--The Golf Life and Play of Robert T. Jones, Jr" was released in November 1930, Bobby Jones had just won the Grand Slam. Written by Jones and O.B. Keeler, this book was originally copyrighted in 1927. By that time Jones had already established himself as golf's premier player, with two US Opens, two British Opens, and two US Amateur championships and more to his credit.
This 8 1/2" x 6 1/4", green cloth covered, 239 page book is not only
all about Jones but it is also signed by The Man as well. Jones'
writing of "Best Regards. Robt T. Jones, Jr." is strong and clean.
Other writing inside the front cover include the signature of "H.N. Barlow" and an
inscription dated May 18, 1931.
The endpaper that helps
strengthen the front cover hinge is damages down its length. There is no
dustjacket.
Condition is as shown in photographs.
