This Wright & Ditson gunmetal blade putter was once property of Fred X Fry. Fred Fry is the dean
of American golf club collectors. He assembled his collection primarily
during the 1930s and its fame spread far and wide. Click Here to learn more about Fry and see many of the articles published in national magazines about his collection.
Stamped "Wright & Ditson" in script on the back of the blade, this putter also has what appears to be the owner's name (Ivan V. Gover) crudely engraved in the 33" original hickory shaft. (It is partially covered by Fry's inventory label.) Sheepskin grip is original.
A copy of Fred X. Fry's inventory page for this putter will be included with this lot.
Condition is as shown in photographs.
