When originally made, the New Skoogee had a flat, well lofted face and an exceptionally large, thick flange.   The large head on this particular example, however, has had its flange ground down by a prior owner so that the face will really fan open.  A club that lays this open is the perfect implement if one wanted to attempt a cut shot with a niblick that would send the ball nearly straight up.  The club shows the passion some golfers had to customize his club so it would perform to his desires.  When this club was made, there was no limit to the number of clubs a golfer could have in their set. 

Because the head is made from solid stainless steel, it still looks great. In fact, to most people this club will look unaltered.

Original shaft is 35 1/2" long. It is stamped "Super Star." This was the stamp of William Gibson, the clubmaker who produced the Skoogee.
