Introduced in 1934, the Spalding Top-Flite Needled ball was made with a liquid center. But after it was made, a needle was used to injected the center with more liquid.  The advertisement included with the images in this lot explains how this process supposedly made the ball travel farther and it even shows a ball being injected during the experimental stage of its design.

The three needled Top-Flite dimple balls offered here are still in their original wrappers and in their original box sleeve.  This item is located middle collumn of the group image.
