MacGregor did not offer Pro-line iron sets to the public. The closest they ever came was the Ben Hogan Parmaster 1622 iron sets, MacGregor's most expensive Hogan iron set first produced in 1949 and for just a few years thereafter.

MacGregor offered the Hogan 1622 irons in its general line, but the blades were similar in shape and style to the MacGregor Ben Hogan Personal Model clubs used by Hogan. The set offered here is stamped "stainless steel off-set model" on the back of each head.

This 2 through 9 iron set has its original True Temper shafts and neck ferrules.  All the neck numbers on the ferrules match.  The grips have been replaced with Golf Pride crown grips. If you want to see how good Hogan really was, take these clubs out for a round!  If you just want to display a set of irons quite similar to what Hogan used during a key part of his career, before he left MacGregor to start his own company, this is the set.
