According to their website, "Plâté began life when the young couple A.W.A and Clara Plâté, travelled to Sri Lanka (formerly known as Ceylon) over a century ago, in 1890. Enthralled by the friendly locals, scenic landscapes and endless beauty of the island, the couple decided to pursue a career in photography in Sri Lanka."

This postcard spotlights a beautiful black and white photograph of a golf caddy from Ceylon/Sri Lanka. Given that the caddy is barefoot, he's wearing his best clothes for the picture.  The other side of the postcard is still blank, as it was never used for correspondence. As postcards go, this one is an outstanding piece.
