This Demon driver is the very driver pictured and discussed in TCA2: V2, p 587. Its square head driver matches the description of Horace Hutchinson's square-head driver given in his 1892 British patent. The Demon, however, bears a British design registration number that starts "60..." which dates it to 1912. The club was likely made by/for Slazenger as the shaft is so stamped.
Square head drivers are about as rare a club as there is. This example includes its original shaft and original sueded leather grip.
