Marked "Ed Fitzjohn" and "Dec 18 1917" on the sole (though a few letters/numbers have worn thin), this adjustable putter was covered a 1917 US patent issued to Ed Fitzjohn and Elmer Stanton.  The club could be adjusted to what ever lie was desired for both right- and left-handed golfers. Plus the putter could be adjusted for croquet-style use.

To adjust the club, all the golfer had to do was grab a wrench and loosen the bolt on the back of the head, move the head to the desired angle in relation to the shaft, and then tighten the bolt.  Done.  The club is in fine working condition.

Fitzjohn putters are well made and relatively heavy as the head is made from brass. While it shows some use, this putter is still very attractive and in excellent condition. Like the 34" shaft, the leather-wrap grip is original.
