If you think you have seen all things MacGregor from the company's glory years, chances are that you have not seen this MacGregor "Percent-O-Matic" card that allowed company accounts to quickly calculate their cost/profit margin on various items. MacGregor made great golf clubs, but it was a business first and foremost.
This lot also includes a large quantity of metal ball markers displaying the MacGregor logo. These markers were designed to fit into certain 1960s MacGregor putter grips that included a magnetic holder (on the butt end of the grip) to receive the marker.
The consignor, who is not a golfer,
inherited these items from his father who worked at MacGregor from the mid 1950s into the early 1960s.
