What a great club this is!~ Never seen anything quite like it.  The head has a nice beefy hosel that is set well behind the thick topline. Everything is just larger than life. "JA" inside a circle is stamped in the top of the head.  I have no idea who the maker is, but they obviously were not very successful

The shaft and grip are original, and the grip is also quite unusual. The wrapping, be it leather, fabric, or hard rubber, has been coated with what appears to be a tar-based material in order to give the grip a heavy texture.  I have seen this a few other times and believe it to be original to the club—certainly to the early 20th century.
